Philosophy

OUR HISTORY

La Rosa Canina was founded in Florence in 2002 by Tania Torrini, an art historian and fresco restorer, together with her brother Tommaso Torrini, an advertising photographer. What began as a small flower shop in the historic San Niccolò district gradually evolved into a floral design studio specializing in luxury destination weddings in Italy.

For over two decades, La Rosa Canina has created floral designs for international celebrations set within some of Italy’s most iconic venues — from the timeless gardens of Villa Cetinale and Villa Gamberaia to Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, Castello di Vicarello, Ravello, Dimora delle Balze and Masseria Potenti.

Since its founding, the studio has developed a distinctive floral language shaped by art, landscape and architecture rather than trends, creating designs that feel timeless and quietly refined.

Over the years, La Rosa Canina has contributed to the evolution of destination weddings in Italy, working with couples and planners from around the world. In addition to weddings, the studio has also collaborated on selected productions and events in other European countries, including France and the Netherlands.

Our work is guided by a natural balance between flowers, space and atmosphere, creating compositions that feel refined and effortless.
